New Jersey commercial tax preparers are invited to the Tax Practitioner Institute sponsored by the New Jersey Association of Public Accountants (NJAPA), Internal Revenue Service, the New Jersey Division of Taxation, and cooperating colleges/universities. It is geared toward the intermediate and advanced tax preparer and no pre-requisite is required.
To avoid the webinar fatigue, instead of an eight-hour session the presentation will be broken down into two four (4) hour sessions. Each session will consist of three hours of Federal topics and one hour of NJ State topics. The Presentation will begin at 9 am and end at 1 pm.
The materials and evaluation will be available online before the webinar.

Presentation on the CARES Act and it current and forthcoming implications on tax professionals and taxpayers
Cybersecurity awareness for everyone, current tax scams, recommended security procedures to take
Payment and filing system options for federal and local tax returns in case of a future pandemic or shutdown

2021 seminar is virtual. Four (4) CPE credits will be issued in Taxation and four (4) CE for EA's and those in the Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP), to those who complete the session. The pre-registration fee for commercial tax preparers is $90 ($35 for full time Students, ID required, no certificate issued). Payments must be received no later than one week before the scheduled seminar. There will be no refunds.

Glenn J. Gizzi
Glenn has worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 30 years. He began in Taxpayer Service in 1989 as a Taxpayer Service Specialist until becoming a Revenue Agent in 1994. During his 11 years as an Agent, Glenn worked in the Examination Problem Resolution Unit as a caseworker, a cooperating Agent for Criminal Investigations and was a Taxpayer Advocate at the model walk-in office in Edison. Glenn is also a certified instructor for the IRS and has spent 4 years training the new incoming Revenue Agents from 2001 to 2005.
Additionally, Glenn worked in the former Taxpayer Education & Communication division during its standup in 2001 before it was realigned into the Communications, Liaison and Disclosure division which is now Communication & Stakeholder Outreach. His current assignments include the Annual Federal State Tax Workshop, North & South Jersey Working Together and American Payroll Association.

During her 8 years in the Division’s Customer Service center she gained a vast knowledge of all taxes and programs administered by the Division. Prior to joining Taxation University Tina was a Practitioner Hotline agent. She provided expert assistance to the tax professional and business community.
Tina’s tax knowledge and customer service experience is a strong asset to the Taxation University Team.
